A torrent is a file you download with this system. There are two
ways to get torrent data, that is used in a system called DHT. The
two ways to access DHT is magnet links and trackers. Trackers work
through your browser, magnet links work directly off your
bittorrent program. There's no need for trackers anymore because of
the advancement with the DHT, so in a way, trackers are slower and
redundant.
